Two Bideford companies have joined forces to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
Staff at the Tyco Electronics plant wore pink items of clothing as part of the recent National Wear it Pink campaign and raised £50 which leading West Country recruitment company Concept Staffing matched, making a total of £100. The event supported the 46,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.
Operations Manager at the Tyco Electronics Bideford plant Lindy Stacey said: "It was lovely to see both Concept and Tyco supporting the Think Pink day in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. All the staff wore pink, ranging from pink underwear to pink wigs.
Recruitment Manager for Concept Staffing, Fiona Brandi, said: "We are very happy to support the event with such a key client and pleased Concept was able to match the money raised.
"Although the event was light hearted, there was a serious reason for it, and we are delighted to have raised the money for such a good cause."
